Antioxidants
- Ferulic Acid
- This effective, polyphenolic antioxidant is a substance found in the seeds and leaves of most plants, especially in the brans of grasses such as wheat, rice and oats. Its chemical structure strongly resembles that of curcumin, also a potent polyphenol. Polyphenols are so named because they have multiple phenolic constituents.
- Tetrahydrocurcuminoids
- Curcumin, a polyphenoic antioxidant, is the principal curcuminoid in the well-known spice turmeric, a member of the ginger family. Curcuminoids are responsible for the yellow color in turmeric and have excellent antioxidant properties including scavenging reactive oxygen species and reactive nitrogen species.
- Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG)
- Green tea polyphenols comprise four catechins of which EGCG is the dominant and most potent one. One branch of research focused on oral health applications associated with EGCG and showed that it is able to quickly act against odor-causing volatile sulfur compounds, and also that it can carry out a preventative function with regards to plaque and caries formation and the development of gingivitis.

- Menthol Peppermint Oil
- Menthol is a purified compound from peppermint oil. Menthol is responsible for imparting a cooling, soothing effect; a property present in whole peppermint oil, but multiplied in pure menthol. In addition to this flavoring ability, for which it is mostly used, peppermint oil has excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties. In a study published in Mycopathologica in 2008, the inhibitory effect of 30 plant oils including peppermint was evaluated against biofilm forming Candida albicans strain (CA I) isolated from clinical samples. Peppermint oil showed 74.16% biofilm reduction.
- Green Coconut Water
- Green coconut water is the clear liquid inside young coconuts (fruits of the coconut palm) and contains all the nutrients necessary for the coconut to grow. As the fruit matures, the coconut water is gradually replaced by the coconut meat and air. Coconut water has a high potassium content and contains antioxidants linked to a variety of health benefits. Cytokinins in coconut water may be among its most beneficial components. Nutrients in coconut water include, among others, biotin, riboflavin, folic acid, thiamine, pyridoxine, potassium, magnesium, iron.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice
- Aloe consists to 99 percent of water, but it is the remaining one percent that is packed with powerful ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, plant sterols, salicylic acid, amino acids, enzymes, lignins and others. It is its constituent vitamins A, C and E that give antioxidant benefits. Minerals such as iron, chromium, zinc, copper, manganese, magnesium, potassium and calcium endow it with nourishing properties. Aloe has also been shown to have antibacterial benefits, likely due to its polysaccharide content.
Directions
Use approximately one tablespoon daily after brushing your teeth. For maximum benefits, vigorously swish for up to one minute, then expectorate (spit out). Do not swallow. Refrain from eating or drinking for about 30 minutes after use.
