Antioxidant Ingredients
- Phloretin
- Phloretin is a polyphenolic compound in the sub-group flavonoids and is mainly derived from apples. It is a potent antioxidant and has been shown to inhibit several types of destructive enzymes.
- Ferulic Acid
- This effective, polyphenolic antioxidant is a substance found in the seeds and leaves of most plants, especially in the brans of grasses such as wheat, rice and oats. Ferulic acid has been found to have synergistic and stabilizing properties when combined with other antioxidants. More recently, ferulic acid has been shown to inhibit biofilm formation by gram-negative bacteria.

- Allantoin
- Allantoin is found in many plants, and is especially rich in the leaves and roots of comfrey. It is mainly known for its soothing, anti-irritant and protective effects, but can also promote wound healing
- Hamamelis virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract
- The leaves and bark of the North American witch hazel shrub have a long history in popular medicine, including for inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa.
- Zanthoxylum americanum (Prickly Ash) Bark Extract
- Prickly ash is an aromatic deciduous shrub found all over the globe. Its common name “Toothache Tree” refers to the application of the bark, which was used to soothe toothaches.
- Zinc Gluconate, Zinc Lactate
- Zinc compounds have the ability to neutralize volatile sulfur compounds, the by-products of bacteria that cause bad breath, and to reduce the presence of oral bacteria.
Directions
Use approximately one tablespoon daily after brushing your teeth. For maximum benefits, vigorously swish for up to one minute, then expectorate (spit out). Do not swallow. Refrain from eating or drinking for about 30 minutes after use.
